Aori Nishimura

Aori Nishimura started skating at the age of 7 and made her professional debut when she was in fifth grade in a tournament organized by the Japan Skateboarding Association.

In 2017, Nishimura won the Japanese skateboarding championship. She was the first athlete from Japan to win gold at the X Games extreme sports event held in Minneapolis.

In January 2019, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, she was crowned world skateboarding champion in the contest jointly organized by the World Skate and Street League Skateboarding
